EDIT: It's back up now. You need to create an account on the website where your progress is saved to link your previous progress to your account. So I can delete your Cassius account and you can remake it on rugbug.net to link those stats to your account, or you can make a new accout there to link the stats. Or you can just not care and keep playing with the account you have now.

Sorry, I can't raise the limit over 20 players without paying $95 for servers. Since the game makes next to $0 at the minute it's not worth it to me to pay.

i like this game and i am good but i want a update battle royale is nice but for more players you want more nice things maybe a gamemode just with rocket launchers or new maps and events or a boss fight mode that you can play single. please like that rugbug can see this!
Yup! That's intentional. They do half the original damage for every wall they go through. You can disable this in the room settings if you don't like it by setting "Wallbangs" to 0.
Battle Royale is going to be released as pretty simple, with no major gameplay changes other than a circle and spawning with 0 ammo, being able to pick up ammo drops to increase your ammo. Then we'll see what features need to be added/changed to balance it and make it more interesting. Good ideas though! I like being able to incorporate kill-points somehow.
To elaborate on what ISS4C_F0ST3R said, itch.io generates a new temporary website every time I upload new files. Since saves are stored on the website, when a new website is generated it loses the saves on the old website. The only way to fix this is to play on https://rugbug/net/redmatch2 or download the game.
In the next update I am adding in cloud-based user accounts so players can keep data as it will no longer be stored on itch, but on a separate server which will not wipe data when there is an update, so you will be able to play on itch.io again. Until then, I recommend doing one of the two options above.

how do you do the battle royale
Create a match
Click "Room Settings"
Check Elimination
Check Battle Royale Circle
then if you want a more traditional battle royale style:
Set Starting Ammo to 0
Turn on Ammo Pickups
so that you have to scavenge for ammunition.
